I see you. You, and all your lies. I dance and whirl, Losing my ties to the world. ……………………... A good friend of mine, Dakota. She is a wonderful model to work with. Taken with a 35mm film olympus camera, developed in the darkroom. I love black and white.

I think this is a really balanced composition. I like the sharp focus on the fabric across her shoulder and on the bottom fan and the neat shadow created by the upper fan. The way you've cropped in creates a vibe of intrigue. She could be just dancing, but there is also a sense of obscurement.
The only constructive criticism I can think of is that maybe the deepest blacks in the image could have gone even darker. I'm not sure if that would have pushed other areas too far or if you need to switch to a different filter. I think just that little bit more would push this just that right amount.
This is a great portrait! I love the composition and the play with the lines of shadow. It's really easy to take a picture of a pretty girl and have people fawn over it, but this is more than just a picture of a pretty girl, it speaks of fore-thought and skill of the artist behind the camera. Well done
